Terms of Service for VideoVroom

Last updated: September 1, 2026

Agreement

These terms apply to your use of the VideoVroom mobile application, made by Dakota Code Lab. By installing or using VideoVroom, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

VideoVroom is sold through Google Play. Your purchase is also governed by Google Play's own terms, which sit alongside these and which we do not control.

What VideoVroom Does

VideoVroom plays videos from links you give it with custom playback speed controls, removes tracking parameters from links you share, adds timestamps to YouTube links, and opens links that other people have left inside Instagram comments.

You are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own. You may not resell, redistribute, or reverse engineer it, except where that restriction is not permitted by law.

VideoVroom Depends on Other People's Services

Please read this section before you buy. It is the most important thing on this page.

VideoVroom works by talking to services that Dakota Code Lab does not own or control — including Reddit, YouTube, Instagram, and others. It relies on the way those services currently work. They change how they work whenever they choose, and they do so without warning us.

When they change, any feature of VideoVroom that depends on them can stop working, temporarily or permanently. That is true of every platform the app supports — not of any one of them in particular. This is a normal and expected part of how an app like this operates, not a defect.

We will make reasonable efforts to keep up when things change. We cannot promise that any particular feature will keep working, because we do not control whether it does. Please buy VideoVroom for what it does today, rather than on the expectation that any specific feature will still work at some point in the future.

Instagram Sign-In

Opening links inside Instagram comments requires you to sign in to Instagram, because Instagram only shows comment contents to signed-in users. The sign-in happens on Instagram's own login page and your password is never seen by VideoVroom. See our Privacy Policy for what is stored and where.

You are responsible for your own Instagram account and for complying with Instagram's terms. VideoVroom is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Instagram, Meta, Reddit, YouTube, Google, Spotify, X, or Amazon.

Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to access and view the content you open with VideoVroom. VideoVroom does not host, store, or distribute any video or media. It plays what you point it at.

Do not use VideoVroom to access content unlawfully, or in a way that breaks the terms of the service the content comes from.

Purchase

VideoVroom is a one-time purchase. There is no subscription and no recurring charge.

Google Play handles the transaction and has its own refund process, which applies to your purchase and which we do not control. Nothing on this page affects your legal rights as a consumer.

No Warranty

VideoVroom is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranty that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with any particular device, service, or version of another company's software.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties. Where that is the case, the exclusions above apply only to the extent permitted, and your statutory rights are unaffected.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dakota Code Lab's total liability to you in connection with VideoVroom is limited to the amount you paid for the app.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Changes to the App and These Terms

We may update, change, or discontinue features. We may update these terms; if we do, the "Last updated" date above will change, and continuing to use the app means you accept the revised terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in it, without regard to conflict of law rules. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections of your own country or province.
